After the lease at the former White Swan pub turned Eden Bar ran out 18 months ago, they spotted a business opportunity on Queen Street in Blackpool where last autumn they founded a new 500-capacity bar and named it Sherlock's after the street outside of their former venue's front door.īecause they are still based in Birmingham, the pair were determined not to forget their roots and vowed to return once they had found a new site. ![]() Revealing the news on their Facebook page, business partners Garry Prentice and Cal Eden said they were "very excited" to be returning the Eden Bar name back to where they started. The Holloway Circus address will mean the new Eden Bar will still be based in Southside, home of the city's Gay Village. The founders of Hurst Street's former Eden Bar are set to rekindle the name by bringing a disused venue back to life - and it's right next door to the Birmingham LGBT Centre.
